A month ago, I bought a DVD of Angel Beats and immediately watched it. I don’t know what came into me, but in the middle part of episode six, I stopped watching it. Not that I don’t like it… I just don’t know why.

And then yesterday, a classmate sent me a group message (that’s GM) saying something like, “Guard Skill: Distortion.”

“OMG,” I told myself. “That’s Angel Beats!!!”

Well, that’s the very reason why I continued watching it. I did an anime marathon, and in just a day, I finished watching the remaining seven and a half episodes.

True to what the fans say on forums, Angel Beats will surely tickle your funny bones. (Since I don’t want to spoil anything to those who haven’t seen it yet, I’ll save the best parts for later ^_^). Each member of the SSS has their own personality that will make you laugh.

But then again, it’s not always in the comedy genre. Even a boy classmate of mine said that he cried at certain parts. I was not able to hold back my tears, especially on the part where Otonashi’s past is flashed. For those looking for a drama story, I highly suggest Angel Beats.

For my favorite character… it has to be Naoi Ayato. He was a bad guy at first (oops! Spoiler!), but I really like his personality, always saying that he is God, and that the people around him are lowlifes (“excluding Otonashi, of course”, like what he always says ^_^). After joining the SSS, he became a comedy character, with that intelligent mind but idiotic gestures. (LoL!) And not only his personality… I know I’m being a fangirl here… he is really CUTE!!

As for a girl character, I like Yurippe. She has this leadership characteristic. I also see Haruhi Suzumiya in her. They look quite the same, they both wear cute headbands, and they are both leaders… Haruhi founded SOS, while Yuri founded SSS. There are lots of similarities between the two.

Already decided that you’ll watch Angel Beats? Make sure to have a box of tissue beside you, and be ready for hard laughs and cries.

What anime am I up to these days?

The last anime I watched was Pandora Hearts. And now, I’m currently with Angel Beats!.

The reason why I’m watching this anime is that I find Yuri Nakamura very similar to Haruhi Suzumiya. I’m even planning to make Yurippe’s headband, like what I did with Haruhi’s ^_^

According to Wikipedia….

Angel Beats! takes place at a high school acting as a Purgatory, where students learn to give up any lingering attachments they still have from life before continuing to an afterlife or reincarnation. While the injury or cause of death are gone, those in the afterlife school can still feel pain or other things as they did when they were alive, as well as dying again, only to awaken with no injures several minutes later. The story follows the main protagonist Otonashi, a boy who lost his memories of his life after dying. Upon awakening in the afterlife, he meets a girl named Yuri who invites him to join the Shinda Sekai Sensen (SSS) (死んだ世界戦線?, lit. Afterlife War Front), an organization she founded and leads which fights against God for the cruel fates the SSS members experienced in life. Their only enemy in the world is the school’s student council president Angel, a being with supernatural powers who fights against the SSS. Yuri believes that anyone who follows Angel’s orders and behaves like a normal student at the school will eventually disappear and pass on. However, those who fulfill their dreams in the afterlife will pass on as well.

Best Anime Uniform

So I think it’s about time that I post something new again. I’ve been thinking of posting this quite so long since now, it was only thanks to our school break that I was finally able to….and so here it goes….

Rank # 1: Homurabara Gakuen Uniform (Fate/Stay Night)

I definitely love Rin Tohsaka’s uniform! Their skirt is not that short, compared to other anime, that makes it really cool. The cross on the wrist and the neck ribbon add extra something too.

Their red coat is very adorable! It’s the best thing in their uniform. Such high fashion^^. I remember one time when I told myself that I’m going to cosplay as Rin Tohsaka in her school uniform. I’m still having thoughts of it….

The second best anime uniform for me would be Tomoeda Elementary’s. I just love how their sailor uniform bacame that of a magician^^

Their hat is also cute^^. And I love both their summer and winter uniform. But unlike F/S N’s, they wear mini skirts:

Most cute among anime uniforms! I like the shade of blue of North High School’s uniform, plus the red ribbon. This is my first choice if I am going to cosplay.

Lastly, SSS uniform. I’m thinking that I love this uniform because it’s the same as TMoHS’s. Don’t you find it similar too? (Yuri and Haruhi’s headbands are also my loves!)
