Shinichi/Conan or Syaoran??
March 18, 2010 at 2:49 pm | Posted in Card Captor Sakura, CLAMP!, Detective Conan, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles | Leave a commentTags: Card Captor Sakura, Detective Conan, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles
My first anime crush was definitely Shinichi Kudo/Conan Edogawa from Detective Conan, but now, it’s got to be Syaoran Li/Shaoran from Card Captor Sakura and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles!
These two have their own younger and older version! ~But I love Syaoran more!!!!!!!
And another similarity: both their young equivalents have a female seiyuu, Minami Takayama on Conan Edogawa and Motoko Kumai on Syaoran Li.
SYAORAN! SYAORAN!
Kudo Shinichi’s NY Case (DC ep 286-288)
December 24, 2009 at 3:34 pm | Posted in Anime/Manga Impressions, Anime/Manga Titles, Detective Conan, Episode/Volume Summary | 14 CommentsTags: Detective Conan, New York
(Not again?? Can’t do anything about it, this is my favorite!) This 3-episode case is no doubt my favorite in Detective Conan. The case includes almost all the things I love: Ran Mouri and Shinichi Kudo’s sweet moments, Shinichi appeared in the episode, Yukiko and Vermouth are involved, the setting is in the Big Apple, Shinichi explains my favorite scene in Greek Mythology…all in all, this episode is a must watch for every ranshin fan.
Also, this case is the continuation of of the episode ‘The Flying Locked Room! Kudou Shinichi’s First Case’, another episode that I love. The two cases happened in the past, and are both explained in ran’s dreams.
Here are my favorite scenes in the Golden Apple Case:
Yukiko received free Golden Apple theater tickets from a friend. Because she forgot about the so-called DST, they will be late for the play so she sped up, making Ran and Shinichi do a favor for her 2-wheel driving. Here’s the very kawaii ranshin scene:
It’s so sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥
Anyways, here’s another picture that I love: Yukiko is so cute and still youthful!
It was told in the episode that Yukiko is known as ‘Night Baroness’ in New York.
Sharon Vineyard then introduced Yukiko, Shinichi and Ran to the lead actor and actresses in the play, namely: Rose Hewit (Aphrodite), Lilia Sanchez (Hera), Akane Sheilson (Athena), Heath Flockhart (Paris), and the other girl who played Eris (I forgot her name! and I don’t have a picture of here here:)
After the introducing part, Sharon explained the mysterious ’Golden Apple’ that they received – the Golden Apple plays an important role in the story of their play (It will be explained by Shinichi later in the case)
After long conversations, the cast together with Sharon toured Yukiko, Shinichi and Ran to the their costume and props room. An accident happened which could’ve caused the death of Rose, good thing that Ran is brave enough and had a good heart to save her (so not Ai Haibara!!!!! bleeeh!!). I really love Ran!
The first episode of the case ends here ~
The second episode shows Shinichi’s knowledge of Greek Mythology. Here, he explained the ‘Judgement of Paris’ to Ran. (the play is based on this story) (The Judgement of Paris is my favorite scene in Greek Mythology!!)
The picture above shows the goddesses in feud for the Golden Apple: Athena, Aphrodite and Hera. (There is no doubt that Aphrodite is the goddess on the right, but I am not sure of the other two)
The picture shows Eris, the goddess who was not invited in the wedding feast (in the Greek story). She is also responsible for tossing the Golden Apple on the three goddesses.
Oh, I have a picture of the woman who played the role of Eris! :
I won’t explain more of the murder that happened, but I’ve got to admit that I loved Rose’s murder trick. Shinichi found out that she did the murder of Heath.
Here is Rose’s infamous line, where she said this, “Thank you, sweet Angel. You helped me do it.” to Ran. (Rose is out of her mind. laughing like that, is she alright?) I love Ran’s innocent look on the last box!
The case closes here…but while on their way to the hotel, Shinichi and Ran met the silver-haired serial killer (Yikes!)
Ran lost her consciousness, and the next scene shows what happened the next day – so sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!
The story-telling ends here ^.^

Plus, almost all the characters appeared in this movie, from the people from Osaka, the Police Officers if different Prefectures to the Black organization members.
I won’t spoil the details for the otakus who haven’t watched it yet, so here’s the link!!

Detective Conan Opening 27: MAGIC (Rina Auichi)

Wow, DC fans have been waiting for this new opening for a long time already, and now, they have it!
Reviews: Not bad, but this opening isn’t the best among all. I still like Opening 16: Growing of My Heart (Mai Kuraki). This opening might also be one of the longest opening in DC History.
Detective Conan Ending 34: Hikari (Breakerz)

An awsome ending. This ending is one of my favorites, I love Ran here, she is so cute!! Sung by Breakerz, the new ending is entitled Hikari.
Love it!! But still, my favorite ending is Secret of My Heart by Mai Kuraki.
The Raven Chaser now on Wiki

I haven’t watched the movie yet, but I already know the story of the DC movie 13, thanks to someone who posted their summary in Wikipedia. Here’s a few things that is in wiki:
The film starts with Conan having a dream where he is sorting some stuff until he hears some noise but didn’t see anyone else. After re-entering the bureau suddenly Gin and Vodka appear and Gin wants to kill Shinichi. The next scene shows the Detective Boys as they catch beetle bugs with Agasa. There a new gear is introduced: a lifting gear that even lifts Genta to the top of a tree. They then find a beetle which wings are taped with conbini and which tapes (open) so it can’t fly away.
Opening (no big introduce but a flashback for the chat between Conan and Vermouth in her car and the phone number of the boss (the nanatsu no ko).
A man in driving down a hillside road. When he wants to brake he realizes that the brakes are damaged and he is driving at high sped into a toll station. He dies but he leaves a dying message “tanabata kyou”. He also lost a pendant during his saying. This pendant shows 7 points (similar points like a hanko art)
Kogoro is invited to a big conference about a large murder case with Conan eavesdropping about the case. Almost every policeman is invited to this case. The first shock is the promotion of Yamamura keiji to Inspector. They explain that already 6 people have died and that all lost a pendant – the only known link so far. Kogoro tells a funny story and Yamamura and Yokomizu cheer him but then the dying message doesn’t fit. The conference ends soon. When Yamamura comes back from toilet he is humming a melody. Conan catches the song and asks why he is humming it. Yamamura replies that he had just heard it are some beeps from a cell phone which Conan realize the song is “nanatsu no ko” and tries to find the one with the cell phone but ends up with seeing someone boarding Gin’s car just in front of the police department. At Agasa’s house he is explaining it to the professor and Haibara. Thinking it must have been Vermouth as she can disguise perfectly and might be tall enough for that disguise. He is wondering what interest the BO might have in that case which Haibara warns him not to go too far.
