Manga Drawer

OMG, I didn’t notice that it’s been more than week since my last post… I was so engrossed in reading Harry Potter that I forgot about updating my blog.

Honestly, I want to post and post in this blog more frequently this vacation because I have a feeling that I won’t be able to do so again once school starts on June… I bet I’ll be busier than ever (but I hope not ^_^)

Anyway, just an otaku update… remember those new manga I acquired weeks ago? My 22-manga collection is now 27, so I definitely need more space for the additional five manga. Here’s what I did so I could stock the new five manga in the same drawer (a photo I uploaded on my facebook wall last week):

Manga Drawer collection

Manga Drawer

Arranged my anime drawer yesterday. Now it’s no longer called ‘anime drawer’ but ‘manga drawer’ instead.
Had to put the anime dvds, anime magazines (otakuzine), and other anime merchandise in another drawer (which contained my english books collection before) because new manga additions have been coming recently (there’ll be no more space if I’ll still stick with the ‘anime’ drawer)

I think that does it. Will be posting again next week for otaku updates ^_^

It’s about time to upload the video. OMG, it took longer than expected! I had a really hard time creating this part, yeah, thanks to my ancient movie maker! Goodness, there are certain parts where the words can’t be read clearly… I hope viewers will understand what had happened with my movie maker.

Enough talking, here’s the video!

Suikogaiden Volume 1 – Episode 1 – Part 2
“Warm Welcome”

—– I only did the editing, all other parts of this video is owned by Konami.

—- Translation by the Suikogaiden Translation Project:

—- Ending Song: ‘Dreamscape’ by FictionJunction KAORI

—- I’m really sorry that part 2′s making took longer than I expected. Certain circumstances had partially interrupted me during the making, nevertheless, here is part 2 :D

—- Special thanks to nonkymura for the OST :D

—- There are certain parts in the video were the dialogue can’t be seen clearly — I’m really sorry about that — my Movie Maker isn’t that updated T_T You can see the whole dialogue in the Suikogaiden Translation Project’s site: http://ramsus-kun.webs.com/Suikogaide… I assure you that those unclear words/sentences will be no more in part 3 since I’ve already got a better Movie Maker (thank goodness!).

—- Part 2 still don’t have the thrills, but Part 3 will be more about those battles with the zombies, so I guess it’s about time for enemy encounters. Sierra’s vampire magic at last! ^_^

Suikogaiden Vol. 1 Episode 1 Part 1 English Translation

Two weeks before I discovered Suikoden manga scans in mangafox, I made this video of the first part in Suikogaiden. I don’t know what got into me, but in any case, it’s finished, and I uploaded it in youtube, using my account, HaruHanaSakura.

It is very frustrating that they did not translate the Suikogaiden games in English or any other language. I mean, hello, Suikoden fans are looking for Suikogaiden!! In any case, heroes appeared (LoL), and are currently translating Suikogaiden.

All in all, the translation is quite good, and that’s what I used in this vid. If ever that the translators read this post, I’m giving my thanks. For more info about the Suikogaiden Translation Project, here’s the link:

(if the video does not play, click this)

As for the video, I used the Japanese game I found in Youtube as my reference. (NOTE: only R E F E R E N C E).

Well, this is only the part 1 of episode 1 of Suikogaiden Volume 1. I’m still working the part 2 out. Just imagine, I can finish an entire vid for two weeks, and yet a part only plays for ten minutes! Hm, I guess I’m doing this for other fans^^,)

Oh, by the way, there are parts in the game in which you’ll have to chose as to what Nash would do or say. In my videos, I picked the choices in which the story will have more suspense, and be longer. (e.g. Nash’s fight with Sierra. I choose words such as ‘old bat’, so that they would have to fight more — meaning — more kawaii moments!). And the Part’s title (Along the Road with Sierra – Part 1, Warm Welcome – Part 2), those are actually only made by me^^,). I added such to come out with a better resolution.

Now off for Part 2!

Suikoden World Map

I like how the Suikoden series keep still on one world map, unlike the Final Fantasy series, which have different world maps on different versions. Here is the map of the Suikoden World (….so far) which shows the Northern Continent, Island Nations, and the Southern Continent.

(Click the picture for a larger scale)

The landmass on the top is the Northern Continent. The settings of Suikoden 1, 2, and 3 happened here.
*Toran Republic
*Dunan Republic
*Tinto Republic
*Harmonian Holy Kingdom
*Grassland
*Zexen Republic

The Islands between the land masses are collectively called the Island Nations Federation. Sukoden 4 happened there.

The continent below is called the Southern Continent. Suikoden 4 happened there, in the Falena Queendom (it’s ‘Queendom’ because it is ruled by a Queen, not a king)

TIMELINE

According to the information I got from my classmate and co-Suiko fan, the timeline of the Suikoden series is not in order. Suikoden 4 happened first, followed by Suikoden 5, then Suikoden 1, then three years later, Suikoden 2 took place, and after fifteen years, the latest happening in the Suikoden World happened, which is Suikoden 3.
